Studio Terms

These terms apply to every booking of Authxntic Studio, between Authxntic Music Group ("the studio") and the person booking ("the artist").

1. The booking. The artist books the room for the hours shown, with the engineer, producer or writer chosen. The session starts and ends at the booked times; extra time is by agreement on the day and is charged at the same hourly rate.

2. Payment. The session is paid in full at booking, or, with a cash voucher, confirmed at booking and paid in cash in the room before the session starts.

3. Cancellation. To cancel or move a session, email studio@authxntic.com at least 48 hours before the start time. With less notice than that the session is charged in full.

4. The recording. In a room-only or engineer session, the recording made in the session belongs to the artist. Where a producer or a writer is booked, the Producer Session Agreement or the Writer Session Agreement accepted at booking says who holds what.

5. The room. The artist and their guests use the room and the equipment with care. Damage beyond normal wear is charged at the cost of repair or replacement.

6. What the artist promises. Material brought into the session is the artist's own or cleared for use, and the artist may enter these terms.

7. Records. The studio keeps a record of the booking: name, email, date, hours, what was booked and what was paid.

8. Agreement. Ticking the box at booking and completing the booking is the artist's signature. The studio's confirmation email is the studio's.

Producer Session Agreement (non-exclusive)

Between Authxntic Music Group ("the label"), the producer named on the booking ("the producer") and the person booking the session ("the artist"). The Studio Terms also apply.

1. The session. The label provides the room, the engineer if booked, and the producer for the hours booked. The producer brings the beat the session is built on. The recording made in the session is "the record".

2. The beat. The producer licenses the beat to the artist on a non-exclusive basis for the record only. The producer keeps ownership of the beat and may license it to others. There is no cap on streams or units for the record.

3. The record. The record is released through the Authxntic Records catalogue. The label distributes and administers it and may license it for film, television, advertising and brand work. Net receipts from the record are shared 50% to the artist and 50% to the label; the producer's share as collaborator is paid by the label out of its portion.

4. Publishing. The artist and the producer keep their writer shares of the composition, agreed on a split sheet at the session. 20% of the publishing is the company's.

5. Credit. The record carries the credits "Produced by" the producer and "Authxntic Records" wherever credits appear.

6. What the artist promises. The artist's contribution is original, or cleared, and the artist may enter this agreement.

7. Term. This agreement runs for the life of the record.

8. Agreement. Ticking the box at booking and completing the booking is the artist's signature. The label's confirmation email is the label's.

Producer Session Agreement (exclusive)

Between Authxntic Music Group ("the label"), the producer named on the booking ("the producer") and the person booking the session ("the artist"). The Studio Terms also apply.

1. The session. The label provides the room, the engineer if booked, and the producer for the hours booked. The producer brings the beat the session is built on. The recording made in the session is "the record".

2. The beat. The producer licenses the beat to the artist exclusively for the record, for the exclusive fee shown at booking. The producer will not license the beat to anyone else after this booking, and withdraws it from any catalogue where it is listed.

3. The record. The record belongs to the artist. The label does not distribute or administer it unless the artist and the label agree that separately.

4. Publishing. The producer keeps 50% of the composition as the writer of the beat; the artist keeps the rest, agreed on a split sheet at the session. 20% of the publishing is the company's.

5. Credit. The record carries the credit "Produced by" the producer wherever credits appear.

6. What the artist promises. The artist's contribution is original, or cleared, and the artist may enter this agreement.

7. Term. The exclusive licence is perpetual.

8. Agreement. Ticking the box at booking and completing the booking is the artist's signature. The label's confirmation email is the label's.

Writer Session Agreement

Between Authxntic Music Group ("the label"), the writer named on the booking ("the writer") and the person booking the session ("the artist"). The Studio Terms also apply.

1. The session. The writer works with the artist in the room for the hours booked: hooks, verses, melody, lyric, the song. What is written in the session is "the composition".

2. The composition. The composition is co-written. Unless the split sheet signed at the session says otherwise, the writer holds 50% of the composition and the artist the rest. Each writer keeps their own writer share and may register it with their society.

3. Publishing. 20% of the publishing on the composition is the company's.

4. The recording. Who holds the recording made in the session follows the session booked: the artist in a room-only or engineer session, or the Producer Session Agreement where a producer is booked. This agreement is about the composition only.

5. Credit. The writer is credited as a writer wherever the composition's credits appear.

6. What each side promises. The artist's and the writer's contributions are original, or cleared. Neither side records or releases the composition under another writer's name.

7. Term. This agreement runs for the life of the composition.

8. Agreement. Ticking the box at booking and completing the booking is the artist's signature. The label's confirmation email is the label's and the writer's.
