Every record in the catalogue is cleared through the label. Stems and alternates on request. Terms are agreed per placement, and the label accounts to the artist on the artist's share.
Beats
Two licences
- Non-exclusive
- The producer keeps the beat and may license it to others. The record made on it is released through Authxntic Records. No cap on streams or units.
- Exclusive
- The beat is licensed to one artist for a fee and withdrawn from every catalogue. The record is the artist's.
- In a session
- A produced session at the studio carries the licence chosen at booking; the agreement is read and accepted in the cart and arrives with the confirmation.
Masters
Who holds the recording
- Room or engineer session
- The recording is the artist's once the session is paid.
- Produced, non-exclusive
- The label owns and administers the master and releases it through the catalogue. Net receipts, what the label receives after platform and distributor fees, are shared 50% to the artist and 50% to the label; the producer is paid from the label's portion.
- Produced, exclusive
- The master is the artist's.
- Unpaid sessions
- Nothing is delivered before the fee is paid. The label holds the recording; if the fee is not paid within 30 days of the session, the label may release the record on the non-exclusive terms and recover the fee from the artist's share before any share is paid.
Publishing
The composition
Writers keep their writer shares, set on a split sheet at the session. 20% of the publishing on work made here is the company's, and the company administers the composition. In a writer session the writer holds 50% of the composition unless the split sheet says otherwise.
Accounting
Statements
The label accounts twice a year with a statement of receipts and pays the artist's share within 30 days of the statement.
